Data sources & licensing
OptSec ingests data from licensed institutional providers. Specifically:
- OPRA — Options Price Reporting Authority feed via licensed redistribution.
- Dark Pool — Trade reporting from TRF (Trade Reporting Facility) consolidated feeds.
- Polymarket — CLOB (Central Limit Order Book) API for prediction-market correlations.
- Unusual Whales — Public API used for cross-validation and supplementary data.
Data is provided "as-is" from upstream sources. OptSec does not guarantee the timeliness, accuracy, or completeness of any third-party data feed. Latency, outages, or data errors at the source may affect signal delivery.
Your responsibility
The Custom Threshold feature on OptSec puts you in control of what counts as an actionable signal. By configuring thresholds, you are explicitly defining the parameters of the data you wish to be alerted to.
This design is intentional. OptSec acts as an analytical tool executing your explicit instructions. We do not prescribe trading strategies. We do not recommend positions, entries, exits, or sizing. The signals you receive are a direct function of your configuration.
